BR SERIES
Bullet Resistant Door & Frame Openings

LEVELS 1-8 AVAILABLE – PER UL752
Bullet Resistant door & frame assemblies are designed to protect personnel and property from fire arms. The BR series Door & Frame systems provide cost-efficient readily available protection against assault and vandalism at vulnerable door openings such as isolated utility buildings, cashier islands, currency exchanges, box offices, remote electrical panels, etc. Bullet Resistant Doors & Frames by MDI® are effective against a wide range of firearms when used with structures similarly rated. Our Bullet Resistant Doors “look” like regular doors. That way you know it’s the performance counts.

LEVEL 1-3 BR DOOR & FRAME SYSTEM:
The BR series door & frame system is available in standard door sizes and the door is constructed with 12 gage steel. Frames are constructed with 12 gage steel with welded corners.  Levels 1-3 are the most commonly used BR door openings with Level 3 being the preferred choice.

BR door/frame openings can be optionally UL fire labeled up to 90 minutes.  Some restrictions do apply.

LEVEL 4-8 BR DOOR & FRAME SYSTEM:
BR series Level 4-8 bullet resistant system offers the absolute best protection against bullet penetration and fragmentation. The door and frame are 14 gauge steel and utilizes “concealed armor” to protect against assault and vandalism at vulnerable openings. Level 4-8 is designed for installations requiring bullet resistance typically for high-powered military rifles.  Levels 4-8 are most commonly used for government and military installations.
