HMD-MED Series Door

The HMD-MED steel stiffened (hat-shaped stiffeners ) door series is utilized in such applications where added security is required, without compromise. This door has been specifically designed for high frequency, severe traffic openings. This steel stiffened door is available in a variety of sizes, gauges and elevations (lites & louvers).

MDI® offers one of the most comprehensive line-ups of HM door cores...and that includes the HMD-MED series steel stiffened door. This series door is 1 3/4” (45 mm) thick and available in 14, 16, and 18 gauge commercial quality steel and is reinforced to receive architectural hardware in accordance to ANSI A115 standards. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLWING:

Per NAAMM/HMMA Specifications, some visible spot-welds at steel stiffener locations should be expected.

High gloss finishes are not recommended.

22 gage steel stiffeners spaced 6" apart, welded to face sheets every 5".

Vertical edges are butt-seam construction and are fully welded to enhance strength, rigidity and appearance.

Door conforms to ANSI A250.8-1998 & ASTM A924 & A653.
